Teva CFS Book English

Caring Making a positive impact The basic principle guiding Teva is promoting health services and accessibility to medication, in order to positively impact society. Since Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a distinctive management and professional domain in the past decade (see frame at the bottom of the page), the company implements a built-in and transparent approach to it, including setting goals and measuring achievements. As one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, Teva’s vision is to be the most vital pharmaceutical company in the world, committed to patients, customers, shareholders, and employees. Managing the domain helps the company meet the expectations of these stakeholders and build trusting relationships with them. Promoting transparency and dialog In October 2013, Teva’s first Global Corporate Responsibility Report was published , which addressed 2012 performance. The report describes the activities that were conducted in the different areas reported included under the title Corporate Responsibility, accompanied by data and descriptions of the main programs. Creating dialog, involvement, and partnerships help us understand the perspectives and expectations of the stakeholders, and to identify topics where we can contribute as a company. The Teva Kfar Saba site continues to act in the spirit of concern and caring and gives back to its community, because as the employees say - when you give, you actually get more in return. The goal of managing corporate responsibility is that as part of managing its business, the company will also manage the impact on the wider circles of the population and on all the entities affected by it. These entities are called stakeholders and in the pharmaceutical industry it is standard to include the patients, doctors, employees, suppliers, regulators, shareholders, and the local communities. This type of management enables the company to achieve a competitive advantage and to win the stakeholders’ trust. What is Corporate Social Responsibility? * 67
