Teva CFS Book English
68 The kids are sweet... Volunteering too For one day, work at the plant’s supply chain was put on hold and the employees went out on a very sweet day of volunteering at Szold School in the city. The handicapped pupils of all ages were happy to partake in the athletic activities that were organized for them and then they feasted on candy kebabs with the volunteers. The children showed their gratitude in their special way with a smile and a hug. Ofir Yahav from the Division-Wide Engineering Department, initiated Teva’s participation in the Wheels of Hope Ride in 2007. Proceeds from the ride went to Etgarim, an NPO that develops extreme sports in nature, as a way to facilitate physical, emotional, and social rehabilitation for the handicapped population. Ofir: “It was important for me to go on the ride and get Teva on board, and thus to create a tradition of support for Etgarim, in order to give hope to people with disabilities and enable them to participate in extreme sports, despite their disabilities”. Riding for Etgarim * Better lives for our community *
