Babies and Children Supermarkets often compete with drug stores for sales of baby food, so we were challenged to design the department in such a way that Moms would feel comfortable and at home.We were instructed to keep in mind the high brand-loyalty experienced in this sector. So, we created an environment that comes straight out of baby’s home. Customers enter the category through a playroom door and are welcomed by giant baby toys and rattles. Brands and food varieties are neatly arranged on shelves, which are clearly marked. And the entire section is trimmed in a border from baby’s nursery.
