It’s not just a galaxy Research shows that the close proximity between the cereal and milk categories stimulates sales for both. In this case, there was a feasibility problem, since milk products needing refrigeration had to be in another part of the store – so the two aisles could not be nearby, much to the disappointment of the cereal department suppliers and producers. We were challenged to create a design emphasizing the winning combination of milk and cereal, by bringing the milk visually into the cereal section. Pouring milk was created by cutting sheet metal and applying a high-gloss, creamy-white sticker. Each cereal box, mounted on a massive constructive arm, pours its respective cereal in milk over the aisle. Above every brand name, we created three-dimentional likenesses of the mascots of each cereal.
